The office Christmas Party comes but once a year, so everyone should be looking to enjoy it. Christmas can be the only time of the year when everyone actually gets together, making it an ideal time for Christmas team building activities. Make your corporate Christmas get-together more productive by building in some festive team building activities. This is our favorite team building activities for these Holidays.

  • Two truths and a lie. This is a great ice breaker! Each person tells two stories about themselves, two of which are true and one that is not. A great Christmas twist is to name their three worst Christmas gifts; two would be true and one would be false.
  • Snowman building contest. Build a snowman with recycling material. Judge on speed or originality.
  • Build an ice sculpture. Freeze colored water ahead of time in ice-cube trays, jello molds and yogurt containers. Place all materials on outdoor tables and have participants build sculptures or totem poles or whatever else you designate.
  • Treasure Hunt. Take part in a themed Treasure Hunt as you solve winter wonderland clues and puzzles whilst exploring the Christmas lights of the city.
  • The toy factory farm. Christmas isn’t all about receiving presents; it’s about giving them too. Toy Factory is a beautiful team building activity that incorporates CSR elements.  Teams handcraft wooden toys for a charitable organization of your companies choosing. These toys are then given to disadvantaged children, a truly touching activity that not only tests the communication, speed, and skill of your team members but also gives them a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
  • Reindeer Races Grand Prix. So each Team is tasked to build their very own Reindeer out of parts and materials left over from his elves in the workshop to help him on his way.

No matter what holiday games your group decides to play, remember the point is to let go and have fun. Strive for good sportsmanship and have a sense of humor! After all, embracing the holiday spirit is the true name of the game.
