FESTIVAL GOURMET CELEBRA SU 14VO ANIVERSARIO

Del 13 al 23 de noviembre de 2008 llega nuevamente el Festival Gourmet Internacional en Puerto Vallarta y la Riviera Nayarit, celebrando catorce años consecutivos de arte culinario.

Chef de los hoteles y restaurantes más selectos, se unen con los Chef más celebres, quienes acuden de todo el mundo para aportar emoción y creatividad sin límites, garantizando así este evento como un espectáculo único.

El Festival Gastronómico Internacional, fue creado hace 14 años como el primer evento en su género en México y es hoy en día punto de referencia para festivales semejantes. Podemos atribuir su éxito al haberse mantenido fiel a sus principios; el no ser una competencia sino un intercambio amistoso y creativo entre grandes Chef de Puerto Vallarta y sus colegas invitados.

A largo del tiempo los eventos que conforman el Festival, han alcanzado una expectación de excelencia, dando la bienvenida con la Gran Cena de Gala. Durante los diez días cada chef invitado exhibirá en su restaurante anfitrión su propio festival, creando un menú a la carta especial y único con sus mejores recetas. Habrá siete mesas de chef con maridaje de vinos, el legendario Festival Gourmet Brunch, Quesos del mundo y catas de vinos, eventos con fines benéficos como la demostración de alta cocina en teatro o una reunión con las celebridades de cocina durante una “Spaghettata” informal y mucho más…

THE GOURMET FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ITS 14TH ANNIVERSARY
 

November 13 to 23, 2008, begins again the 14th Festival Gourmet International Mexico en Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit – Celebrating fourteen years of culinary art and events. The Chefs of the Boutiques, First class hotels and selected Restaurants, with top chefs hailing from all over the world –Team up to thrill our Gourmet fantasies. On one of the most beautiful bays in the Pacific, Puerto Vallarta’s and Riviera Nayarit’ where creative hospitality tradition will be feted at numerous parties, tasting and dinners over the ten days dedicated to gastronomy.

The Festival Gourmet International Mexico was brought to life 14 years ago as the first event of its kind in Mexico, and has remained a benchmark for all similar festivals that followed. It has gone from success to success – perhaps because it has stayed true to its guiding principle: not competition, but the amicable and creative exchange between great master chefs and young talents from around the world remains at its core.

The 14th edition will excel with outstanding Guest chefs and together with our resident talented chefs; we will all be celebrating "haute cuisine" again in this unique world resort on the Mexican Pacific Coast.

The official events have long achieved cult status. Starting on November 13, with the "Grand Gourmet Opening Dinner", The gourmet a la carte dinner prepared during ten days cooked by skilled guest chef in each Gourmet Festival establishment, the spectacular Sunday brunch buffet, the cooking demonstrations and wine tasting, the cheeses of the world and wine party, and the legendary Chefs tables and Winemakers Dinners.

New events will enrich this year’s fanfare and raise funds for charities, such as the “Chefs Corrida theater ”, and the “Spaghettata”.

TORNEO DE PESCA

Se realizarà el 53 aniversario de este extraordinario evento anual  Torneo Internacional de Pez Vela y Marlin que se llevara a cabo en Bahía de Banderas con premios en efectivo para la captura de los grandes ejemplares. Con fechas del 12 al 15 de noviembre y con una bolsa de más de 300 mil dólares,  que organiza el Club de Pesca de Puerto Vallarta, A.C., con categorías de Pez Vela, Marlin, Atún y dorado, además del Fishing One al Pez Vela que se presente primero al pesaje y que rompa el récord de 70.6 kilogramos, además del fishing one al marlin, cuyo récord es de 322.300 kilos, quienes se llevarán una bolsa de 150 mil pesos cada uno, además de las tradicionales “pollas” para los mejores ejemplares. En la tradicional cena baile de premiación se tendrán nuevamente la presencia del Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán

Sailfish & Marlin International Tournament

November 12 – 15 

This extraordinary annual event in its 53 year takes place in Banderas Bay with cash prizes for those catching the big ones. From November 12 to 15, 2008 with prizes of more than 300 thousand dollars. They have different categories as: Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi.

One addition to the Fishing the sailfish that this was the first to weigh and to break the record of 70.6 kilograms, besides the one at marlin fishing, whose record was 322,300 pounds, who carried a bag of 150 mil pesos each, plus the traditional "cocks" for the best fishes. In the traditional dinner dance awards will be again the presence of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán.
