DMC IN COZUMEL

Join us for a 45  minute cruise from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel, which has long been the setting for the underwater films of Jacques Cousteau and Ramon Bravo and is renowned as a diving center.

This island’s name comes from the Mayan word Cuzamil (the place of the shallows). This is an island of white beaches, turquoise seas and green jungle, the southwest coast is bordered by impressive coral structures, part of the second most important reef on the Planet.

One of the most interesting things on the Island is The Cozumel Reefs National Marine Park, created by Presidential Decree, July 19th, 1996. It embraces the southwest, south and southeast coast of the island and contains approximately 85% of the diving sites on Cozumel, a total area of 11,987.5 hectares (67,133 acres), including the maritime-terrestrial federal zone.
