VISTA VALLARTA CLUB DE GOLF
PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO (2003) — ClubCorp, the world leader in delivering premier golf, private club, and resort experiences, hosted the 2002 World Golf Championships – EMC World Cup from Dec. 10-15, 2002 at its spectacular Vista Vallarta Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Players representing 24 countries qualified for the tournament.
Vista Vallarta is the second ClubCorp property chosen as the venue for a World Golf Championships event. ClubCorp’s Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, is the site of the World Golf Championships-NEC Invitational. The PGA of America also selected Firestone as the site of the 2002 Senior PGA Championship.
NICKLAUS
Opened April 2001 the first course at Vista Vallarta is a Signature Design by Jack Nicklaus. WEISKOPF
Opened in November 1st, 2001. This signature Designed by Tom Weiskopf provides Vista Vallarta with a dramatic contrast from its first course.Built on the properties lower west end, golfers won't believe they have simply taken a different turn the club house.Here the terrain is extreme with dense jungles, deep ravines and swift creeks. Mr. Weiskopf has done a masterful job of blending the elevations and natural features into an incredibly playable experience... from the first tee to the green of the "driveable" 18th.
EL TIGRE CLUB DE GOLF
