DINE AROUND IN MEXICO CITY
|
Bellini
|
| Avenida de las Naciones 1 Piso 45, Nápoles |
This is a lofty spot, not only because of its exclusive menu featuring international cuisine, but also because this restaurant is located on the 45th floor of the World Trade Center, one of the tallest buildings in the city. As the restaurant slowly revolves, diners can enjoy the unique view by day or night, the only caveat being to watch out for bad weather and smog conditions. Bellini offers a variety of specialties including Squid Spirals and Spaghetti Cartoccio. You can expect personal attention and elegant decor in this sophisticated eatery. |

Fonda del Claustro
|
| Polanco, Deleg. Miguel Hidalgo, C. P. 15620 |
Previously called Fonda Santa Clara, and still under the same ownership, this is one of the city's fine dining establishments. The menu lists a full range of daily and seasonal specialties. The large serving of manchamantel (literally, "tablecloth stainer") is a sweet, smooth mole made by blending chiles, apricots, pears, apples, and bananas, served over pork or chicken -- it's fabulous. The sartenada ranchera is enough to fill two diners. The feast is a combination plate of superbly seasoned and grilled meats, sausage, and bacon served with onions, salsa, and avocado. Service is refined and attentive. |

At Torre de Castilla you can enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine prepared with traditional recipes and excellent fresh ingredients. Making Spanish dishes with flavors and textures as they should be, with the same flavor they would have in Spain and coupled with the personal attention provided to each and every customer, Torre de Castilla has established itself as one of the favorite restaurants in the Polanco area. |
